A Welcoming Hub for Seniors

The Happy Gang Centre is a safe and welcoming place for seniors to meet, eat and engage.

Welcome to the Happy Gang Centre, a vibrant community hub dedicated to supporting seniors in Terrace and area. Originally established in 1957 as a branch of the BC Old Age Pensioners Association, we have evolved into the Terrace Old Age Pensioners Association (TOAPA) and now operate independently to provide a welcoming space for our members to connect, learn, and enjoy social activities. All of our operations are run by a dedicated team of volunteers. The centre offers a wide range of programs including games, events, and affordable weekday lunches.  Our mission is to foster a sense of community while promoting the well-being of our members.

Our Vision

Happy Gang Centre is a safe and welcoming place for seniors to meet, eat and engage socially.

Our Mission

The Happy Gang Centre provides educational, recreational, entertaining and interactive community social activities.

Our Values

The Society, in pursuing our objectives, bases itself on democratic procedures and shall be non-partisan and open to all seniors. Today’s senior citizens made their contribution to building our community and country and we believe they must be recognised as an asset to society – not a burden.
